and dogs allowed for squirrel hunting Dec. 19 - Feb. 28.
Youth Squirrel Hunt: Sept. 26-27
Raccoon (nighttime): Jan. 10 - Feb. 28
Nighttime Chase Only: May 1 - Sept. 25, Tuesdays and Thursdays
only. Raccoon hunters may use ATVs on designated trails during
take seasons only.
Crawfish: March 1 - July 31. 100 pounds per person per day.
Recreational crawfishing only, no traps or nets left overnight.
LOGGY BAYOU
Owner: LDWF (4,262 acres); U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (2,189
acres, Minden Office)
Self-Clearing Permit required for all activities.
Limited Use Area: Small game and waterfowl same as rest of WMA.

Crabs: No crab traps allowed. Attended lift nets are allowed.

MARSH BAYOU

Small Game: Same as outside and OPEN to squirrel hunting during the
spring season, May 1-9, with or without dogs. Beagles are allowed for
rabbits and dogs are allowed for squirrels Jan. 2 - Feb. 28. Additionally,
they are allowed for training on the Small Game Emphasis Area June 1
- Aug. 31.
Raccoon (nighttime): Sept. 12-27 and Jan. 2 - Feb. 28
MAUREPAS SWAMP
Owner: LDWF (112,615 acres, Hammond Office)
Self-Clearing Permit required for all activities. No loaded firearms or
hunting allowed within 100 yards of Nature Trail. Camping limited to
tent only in designated areas (see WMA map for locations). Motorized
vehicles prohibited on Crusel Tract.
Limited Use Area: Small game - shotgun only. Deer hunting - archery
only. See WMA map for specific location.
AREA CLOSED: Nov. 7-8, to all hunters EXCEPT Youth Deer Hunters.
Benchmark Closure: Area closed to all deer hunting when USGS water
level gauge at Airline Canal at Blind River near Gramercy, LA -
07380212 is at or above 2.25 gauge height, feet and reopens to deer
hunting when water levels recede to 1.75 gauge height, feet
