1 Deer Hunting: Required of all deer hunters in addition to Basic Season License. This license includes deer tags, archery, and primitive privileges.
2 Waterfowl Hunting: Required of all waterfowl hunters in addition to Basic Season License.
3 Turkey Hunting: Required of all turkey hunters in addition to Basic Season License. This license includes turkey tags and archery.
4 Youth License: Any resident or non-resident under the age of 18 must obtain a youth license for hunting deer, turkey, trapping, and youth lottery hunts.
This license includes deer and turkey tags. No ID or proof of residency is required for the purchase of this license. The youth license is not required when
hunting squirrels, rabbits, or woodcock.
5 Federal Electronic Duck Stamp: The Federal Electronic Duck Stamp allows customers to buy Federal Duck Stamps online for immediate use. The stamp will
be valid from the time of purchase through the end of season in June 2027. The customer can either download the stamp to their phone or print out the
receipt when making the purchase. No physical stamps will be sent out before March 10, 2027 per the Federal Duck Stamp Modernization Act Law.
6 Harvest Information Program (HIP): Licensed hunters, 18-years and older, of migratory game birds (doves, ducks, geese, woodcock, rails, snipe, coots or
gallinules) in Louisiana must be HIP certified in addition to all other requirements.
7 Black-bellied Whistling Duck Permit: Required of all black-bellied whistling duck hunters in addition to all other requirements. Post-season reporting of
effort and harvest is required.
8 WMA Access: Either a WMA Access Annual or 5-Day Permit is required for all users of LDWF administered lands, including wildlife management areas,
refuges, and wetlands conservation areas. Persons 18 and older are required to purchase a WMA permit.
9 WMA Camping Permit: A WMA Camping Permit is required for each camping party utilizing a LDWF-operated campground on a WMA. A camping party
is defined as one to five individuals 18 or older. If any camping group is over five individuals 18 or older, then multiple WMA Camping Permits are required.
Youths 17 and younger are exempt from the WMA Camping Permit requirement. The WMA Camping Permit(s) or camping permit number shall be displayed
at each camping party’s campsite. A campsite is defined as any tent, RV, camper, vehicle or site occupied within a campground or vessel/houseboat moored
adjacent to a campground.
10 Sportsman’s Paradise License: Includes Basic and Saltwater Fishing, Basic Hunting Season, Deer Hunting, Turkey Hunting, Waterfowl Hunting, WMA
Access, and all Recreational Gear licenses (EXCEPT recreational trawls greater than 25 feet in length - additional license required)
11 Senior Hunt/Fish License: any resident who reached age 60 on or after June 1, 1940 must obtain a Senior Hunt/fish License to hunt or fish. This license is
in lieu of Basic and Saltwater Fishing, Basic Hunting, Deer, Waterfowl, Turkey Stamp and WMA Access Annual Permit. Beginning June 1, 2027 the Senior Hunt/
Fish license will be available to individuals 65+ on or after June 1, 2027 and will cost $20, except individuals born before June 1, 1940 the license will be FREE.
12 Hunting Guide: License is valid for one year, beginning on July 1 of each calendar year and expiring on June 30 of the following calendar year.
