ALL OF THE FOLLOWING PARISHES ARE OPEN
Ascension, Concordia, Franklin, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, West
Baton Rouge
PORTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING PARISHES ARE OPEN
That portion bounded on the east by the Atchafalaya
River, on the north by Red River to the Brouillette
Community, on the west by LA 452 from Brouillette
Avoyelles
to LA 1, on the south by LA 1, eastward to Hamburg,
thence by the west Atchafalaya Basin protection
levee southward
Caldwell All east of the Ouachita River.
All of the parish EXCEPT for that portion located in
Catahoula
Area A.
That portion east of the main line levee to the
East Carroll
Mississippi River
Iberia East of the West Atchafalaya Basin Protection Levee.
That portion lying east of US 65 from East Carroll
Madison Parish line to US 80, south of US 80 and west of the
main channel of the Mississippi River.
West of LA 17 from Franklin Parish line to Ringle
Rd., south of Ringle Rd. to Ferguson Rd., south of
Richland Ferguson Rd. to Little Rd., south of Little Rd. to Big
Creek, east of Big Creek to Franklin Parish line and
that portion south of US 80 and east of LA 17.
That portion bounded on the west by the west Atch-
St. Landry afalaya Basin Protection Levee and on the east by
the Atchafalaya River
That portion west of the main channel of the Mis-
Tensas
sissippi River.
All within the Atchafalaya Basin; in addition, that
area bounded on the North by LA 352; on the West
Upper St. Martin by LA 349, to LA 3039, to LA 347, to the Catahoula
Hwy. (LA 96), to LA 679, to LA 345; and on the south
by LA 3242
2027 TURKEY HUNTING REGULATIONS
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Basic Hunting and Wild Turkey License (or equivalent combination
license), and Turkey Tags are required of all persons 18 and older
hunting turkey. Youth Hunting License and Turkey Tags are required
of all persons 17 or younger hunting turkey. See page 8 for excep-
tions and exemptions.
DAILY LIMIT
One adult gobbler (male turkey) per day. An adult gobbler is defined
by having one of the following: wing feathers that have white bar-
ring all the way to the tip, tail feathers that are the same length,
beard that is longer than 6 inches, or a spur that is at least 1/2 inch
long. Properly licensed youth under 18 years of age may take one ju-
venile male turkey (jake) with a beard less than 6 inches per season.
SEASON LIMIT
Two gobblers (male turkey) per season. Properly licensed youth un-
der 18 years of age may take one juvenile male turkey (jake) with a
beard less than 6 inches per season.
DEFINITIONS
Baiting: Placing, exposing, depositing or scattering of corn
(shelled, shucked or unshucked), wheat or other grain, salt or oth-
er feed so as to constitute a lure, attraction or enticement to, on
or over any areas where hunters are attempting to take turkeys.

1. The beard is longer than 6 inches.
