A LETTER FROM
THE SECRETARY
Increasing recreational opportunity and access for
the people of Louisiana remains a driving factor for
my administration as we serve under the leadership
of Governor Jeff Landry. It is what we have set out
to do since day one and what we will continue to do
for our citizens and for the conservation of our
natural resources. Hunting in Louisiana is a time-
honored tradition and a right of our citizens that we
are proud to protect. Whether you find yourself
hunting on one of our WMAs or on privately-
owned land, please remember to keep safety as a
top priority and stay respectful of the land, wildlife,
and rules set in place to promote the longevity of
our natural resources for generations to come. We
wish all our hunters a safe and successful 2026-27
hunting season.
Sincerely,
Tyler M. Bosworth, LDWF Secretary
